Materials we keep in the Central Library

We hold a collection of law books, journals and loose leaf titles, as well as a variety of official and parliamentary publications suitable for students, practitioners and the general public.
 
The literature of English law may be divided into two broad categories: the primary sources and the secondary sources.  The primary sources are the law itself, whilst the secondary are commentaries on it.
 
Primary sources available in Reference & Information are Acts and Bills (Acts in draft form), Statutory Instruments, Cases, Codes of Practice and Byelaws.
 
We hold copies of:

Secondary sources include textbooks, encyclopaedias and journals.
