Storm

Shadows
may linger
under
boughs
until
cloud’s whitened zeal has plucked membrane away.
Grey-tinged is wing; its claws; sheer disarray’s
the outcome of hawk-weather’s
turbulence-skill.
Like yolk-sac, broken, sunshine is smashed, too,
and hot-rain drizzles shells fall pellet-force
on ground asplurge with muddy worms.
So few’ll
escape the wrath of damp sparrows.
A pause ......
for light’ning’s plunder,
thunder’s prey shriek near
are causes of zapped fear will lessen when
such calmness uses besom
sweeps its cheer
inside those atria dilate again.
Once frozen moments,
hypnotized by stealth -
have blinked
an eyelid -
each will share
warmth’s wealth.

Fisherman's wife

Gone is the sun;
that hand of moon
released a doggish tide
by letting ocean leap from bed
to wipe-out countless lives.

There's one I'll miss as ne'er before.
It's he, who rode the brine.
My love, he was;
and no man more could pour on hearth of mine
comfort welled-up three craggy stairs
t'where feet, salt-white, today
did urge me from my bed's recline
to rise and meet a day
became the night;  has become Hell;
for Heaven wouldn't sweep away
such chiming heart tolled its own knell.
I cry; survey the bay

lies far below's
all muddy-pied
and coffee-frothed,
for sand's heaped higher than
boat's nest of crows,
which never more'll leave land.

I turn around -
a noise, deep-sighed,
...yet audible...
brings spin's
so like a fairground ride's
land slide
which drags child;  myself in
to graves, I know,
won't leave a mound.
No other breed of man
will find our store of love;
its wealth.

Unleashed's been doggish plan
to take the tides,
an ailing moon has almost had its run.
And not once more will our eyes' boon
be a mackerel-scudded sun.
