The Glass Mountain Writers

Image for the Glass Mountain Writers
The Glass Mountain Writers have established themselves as one of the leading writing groups in South Yorkshire. Their work has appeared in various publications and has been broadcast on BBC Radio Sheffield. They have also been involved in a number of writing projects within local communities, working with fellow authors and artists. They regularly perform at the 'Off The Shelf' festival held each year in Sheffield, as well as appearing at other cultural festivals.

The group meet at Crystal Peaks Library every Thursday afternoon between 2-3.30pm to read their work and offer each other feedback. They also host workshops, occasionally led by visiting writers. All forms of writing are encouraged, from poetry to short stories, from plays to song writing.

If you are interested in joining The Glass Mountain writing group and would like to know more, then please contact the library staff on telephone number 0114 293 0612, or email your enquiry to crystalpeaks.library@sheffield.gov.uk Alternatively, just come along and join us on a Thursday afternoon and see for yourself.
