Heritage Open Days
Heritage Open Days celebrates England's fantastic architecture, history and culture by offering free access to properties that are usually closed to the public. This September, buildings of every age, style and function in Sheffield will open their doors, ranging from tower blocks to temples, factories to parks and parish churches to theatres and cinemas.
Sheffield Archives and Local Studies are participating in this exciting venture by providing source material, such as maps and photographs, guidance and training sessions to property owners to help build up a picture of Sheffield’s rich variety of historical sites.
You can download a free document outlining the main sources available to hosts of Heritage Open Day venues from the bottom of this page.
