Sheffield Libraries, Archives and Information have formed partnerships with organisations across the city, and regionally and nationally.

- Department of Information Studies - Sheffield Information Service works with the Department of Information Studies, part of Sheffield University to provide the Help Yourself Website.
- Health Information and Library Services (HILS) - Sheffield Information Service works with Health Information and Library Service (HILS) in developing a citywide database of voluntary, community and statutory organisations and services in Sheffield.
- SINTO - Information Partnership for South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire -The Information Partnership for South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire brings libraries and information services of all types together in a partnership to improve information services.The goal of SINTO is to develop and promote co-operation, planning and partnership as a means of achieving more efficient and effective library and information services thus contributing to the economic and social infrastructure of the area.For further information contact the SINTO office, tel 0114 225 5739/40, fax 0114 225 2476, or email c.j.clayton@shu.ac.uk
- SYALL - South Yorkshire Access to Libraries for Learning - Sheffield Libraries are part of the South Yorkshire Access to Libraries for Learning agreement (SYALL). This allows you to use any of the public and academic libraries in Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham or Sheffield for reference and study. - Upperthorpe Healthy Living Centre - Upperthorpe Healthy Living Centre is a New Opportunities Fund (NOF), Single Regeneration Budget (SRB6) and Sheffield City Council funded partnership project delivering a wide range of health and community related services within a refurbished complex of listed, Victorian buildings.The library is one service provided by service level agreement for the Community Partnership Board. Other services include a swimming baths, a gym, rights and advice, health information, a child centre and crèche and a café.The library is accessible over 80 hours per week and is innovatively spread throughout the downstairs of the centre rather than in one space.Books are displayed in the café area while free fruit is available on tables throughout the library. Self issue is used when library staff are not available and the development has seen both library use and membership double.
- Yorkshire Book Consortium - Sheffield is part of this consortium along with most other Yorkshire Libraries. Its role has expanded to include critical agreements with Video, DVD and music suppliers. In aiming for best value the Consortium has delivered excellent reduction in price as well as quality service delivery.
