Having trouble logging in?

Many of our 24 hour service packages are available only to members of Sheffield Libraries, Archives & Information, and require a library card number (for the library catalogue, you also need a PIN Number).

At the "Library Card Login" type in either your library card number.  Leave no spaces, even if the number has spaces on the card.

At the "Subscriber Login" you need to type the word "SHEF" before your library card number, eg SHEF#########   Leave no spaces even if there are spaces on your card.

If you are using the course for the first time, you need to click on the "Signup" button on the right hand side and create a user name and password.  You also need to enter your library card number.

 

If you have used the course before then you enter your correct details and click on the "Login" button.

At the "NewsUK Library Barcode Access Point" type in your library card number.  Leave no spaces, even if the number has spaces on the card.

You need your library card number as well as a Personal Identification Number (PIN number) to request an item or view your membership details on the library catalogue. 

To request your PIN Number you can contact either your local library, or fill in the online PIN Request Form.

 

Please note the online library catalogue will not be available from 11pm each night for approximately 1 hour as system backups are carried out during this period.
