The 7th annual Art in the Gardens event, held in Sheffield Botanical Gardens, is arguably the largest outdoor art exhibition in the north of England with artists, craft makers and visitors coming from throughout the UK. This is a truly wonderful opportunity to buy the perfect piece of art or craft direct from the artist, whilst enjoying the perfect surroundings that the gardens have to offer. Thousands of works of art and craft on exhibition.

Premier Artists
Each year the event hosts some of the very best artists locally, regionally and arguably from the UK! Just a few of the artists include, Trevor Neal, Kristan Baggley, Helen Parsley, Tim Rose, John Paul Cooke, Gareth Watling, Yuko Sekiguchi, June Haywood, Mandie Haywood, Carol Hodgson, David Brightmore, Chris Pollard, and many more outstanding artists at the peak of their craft.
Celebrity Portrait Competition
Popular South Yorkshire comedian and radio presenter, Toby Foster, is set to be star of this year's Celebrity Portrait Competition.
The BBC Radio Sheffield breakfast show host is set to join a long list of household names that have been the centrepiece of the competition, including Coronation Street stars Bradley Walsh and Bruce Jones and local names Dave Berry and Joe Scarborough.
Cllr Shaffaq Mohammed, the Council's Cabinet Member for Communities, said: 'Toby Foster is one of the most popular and recognisable radio presenters in the region, he's a highly rated comedian and he co-organises the Sheffield Comedy Festival, as well as running his Last Laugh Comedy clubs - it's great to have him as the star of our Celebrity Portrait Competition'.
Sheffield artist and photographer Trevor Neal did a special photo-shoot with Toby Foster for the competition and said: 'It was an absolute pleasure to work with Toby! his range of facial expressions and vibrant personality have provided a fabulous selection of character attitudes for the artists to render in their own styles and medium. Toby contributed lots of ideas and inspiration and couldn't have been more amenable, which made it a very enjoyable shoot'.
Shots from this session are available for artists including amateur and professionals that want to do their own depiction of the comedian and presenter and enter the popular competition.
The Toby Foster shots are available for collection from the Meersbrook Offices of Sheffield City Council's Parks and Countryside Service, which are based at Meersbrook Park, Brook Road, Sheffield, S8 9FL. They will be available from Reception from 8.45 am to 5.15 pm Monday to Thursday and 8.45 am to 4.45 pm on Fridays and must be collected in person. Further information on 0114 250 0500.
Open Art Exhibition
If you are an artist and feel you have work that is worthy of sale and would like to exhibit this work for sale in the open show, please download the documents at the bottom of the page for further information. All work goes before a panel of professional artists to be selected for the show.
Event Admission
Adults £5, accompanied children under 16 FREE
Free Park and Ride bus service from Tesco Abbeydale Road Park and Ride car park, every 20 minutes between 10.00am and 6.00pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Preview Evening
The Preview Evening on Friday 3rd September 6.30pm - 10.00pm, is a wonderful opportunity to be amongst the first to view and snap up the bargains and favourite pieces of artwork on display, whilst enjoying a glass of wine and a great atmosphere. £6 ticket admits two adults.
