Sothall

Outline map of Sheffield neighbourhood boundaries with the Sothall neighbourhood highlighted.
Sothall, on the eastern fringe of the city, lies around 7½ miles from the city centre, immediately to the south of Beighton. The majority of the neighbourhood is made up of a modern estate, developed as part of the townships extensions.

Sothall overlooks the Rother Valley Country Park on one side and has the Holbrook industrial estate as its boundary at another. The housing stock is mixed, including semi-detached, detached and terraced houses and some bungalows.

Although physically separated by a railway line, residents enjoy good access to public green space in the Country Park; there is also a playing field alongside Eckington Road.

Local amenities are limited: there is one public house, a snooker club and shops on Sothall Green, but no post office and no other community facilities.

Sothall was identified by consumer credit group Experian as the fourth most under-priced place to live in the country, indicating that living in the neighbourhood represented good value for money.
