Positive Activities Capital Grants Fund for 8-13 year olds

The Positive Activities Capital Grants Fund of £50,000 will be distributed in two award rounds in October 2008 and February 2009. Voluntary and community organisations may apply for a grant between £3,000 and £10,000 for improvement works to facilities or major items of equipment.

The closing date for the 1st Round is 26th September 2008 and for the 2nd Round is 30th January 2008. Decisions will be issued within 8 weeks of the closing date. Applications may be made any time up to the closing date but you are encouraged to send in your application as soon as it is completed. You may apply for both facilities works and equipment on the same form and to the same or subsequent award rounds but no organisation will be awarded more than a total of £10,000 from the Fund.

Who can apply

You must be able to demonstrate that the grant will result in a direct benefit to 8-13 year olds and promote the take up of new or more regular activities in the fields of arts, culture, environment, play or sports.
