Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour
The Policy Support Team produces a range of information, analysis and research about aspects of community safety to support the Sheffield Safer Communities Partnership. This includes statistics about the city's performance, evaluating initiatives that the Partnership has organised, and advice about where to target activities. We also contribute to the Strategic Intelligence Assessment which identifies areas of concern.
We work closely with South Yorkshire Police, South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue, 101 (the non-emergency number) and the Safer Neighbourhood Teams, as well as many other partners inside and outside the Council.
As crime and anti-social behaviour figures are sensitive, they tend not to be published on a regular basis, and some information is too confidential to share with the public. However, if you need some figures or analysis to plan a service or project we will be happy to share what we can. Please call us on (0114) 2053582 or email policy.support@sheffield.gov.uk.
