Compact Codes of Practice and Disputes Procedure

The Sheffield Compact and Codes of Practice strengthens our relationship with the local voluntary and community sector.  The Disputes Procedure aims to resolve conflicts that arise when practice contradicts the principles of the Compact.

 

The Compact has been revised to ensure it is as relevant and effective as it was at its conception, by reflecting developments in the work of the local authority and the relationship between us and the voluntary and community sector.  We agreed the latest document in 2009. 

 

The Codes of Practice incorporated into the document help achieve the principles and objectives agreed in the Compact. There is also an agreed Disputes Procedure, which aims to resolve conflicts that arise when practice contradicts the principles of the Compact.
