Community Regeneration Development
This new team influences Council policy for community regeneration issues. The team maintains and improves on relationships with community regeneration organisations across the city. We also shape and influence the voluntary and community sector in the city, ensuring it is able to engage with policy and service developments.
Over the coming year the team's key priorities are to:
- Commission the mapping of Black and Minority Ethnic infrastructure in the city and produce a plan to address any gaps in support to those communities.
- Support the community regeneration organisations included in Theme 4 of the South Yorkshire Investment Plan (thereby unlocking the potential of all communities and ensuring inclusion in economic growth).
- Work with the organisations and partnerships in receipt of European Union funding to help develop their priorities.
- Work with community led organisations in Closing the Gap neighbourhoods, using the Successful Neighbourhood Information System, to identify strategies for addressing inequalities.
