Stock Loan Entitlements
Access to the full range of school library materials including books, DVDs, photo-packs, spoken word cassettes and multimedia materials for personal loan by all teachers within the school.
- The maximum entitlement is up to 35 items at any one time
- The loan period is up to one term but materials can be exchanged at any time
- Access for student teachers, supply teachers, teaching assistants can be arranged at the schools request
- Access to a developing collection of over 1,000 mini class set titles in support of the National Literacy Strategy at KS 1 and KS 2. These loans are generally made for a year, but parts can be exchanged more frequently through agreement
- Access to special display collections for parents· evenings, inspection visits, special events, visiting authors etc.
Staff at the Schools Library Service will, on request, select materials which can be delivered and collected via the van service which visits schools at the beginning and end of each term at advertised times. For details of collection dates please contact 0114 250 6840.
In addition to the van delivery and collection service showroom access is available for self-selection at advertised opening hours.
Schools participating in Family Learning programmes may request support in the form of additional advice and materials.
