Advice and Support for Private Tenants
Most people who rent from private landlords are Assured Shorthold Tenants, but there are other forms of tenancy such as assured tenant, or a regulated or protected tenant,(particularly if you have lived there a long while). These tenants usually have more rights.
Alternatively, you may have some other right of occupation, particularly if you share any accommodation with the person you pay rent to or if you work for the person you rent from.
