Confidentiality

When you contact us for assistance, it may be necessary for us to contact other service providers (e.g., health or social care professionals) in order to collect information about you. We will ask for your consent, in writing, and we will clearly explain about the purposes for which your information is to be used.

We will use your information only for the purposes stated, and we will handle your personal information lawfully, fairly, and with due regard to your rights at all time.

Although we do not require full details of your personal circumstances, we do need to know information relevant to making any decisions about how to best assist you. If you withhold relevant information, this may make it difficult for us to provide the necessary assistance in order to improve your situation.

There are limitations to confidentiality. If, during the course of our work with you, information you disclose causes concern about Child Protection or Adult Protection, it may be necessary for us to contact the appropriate professionals or authority. We will discuss this with you first, unless to do so would place yourself or anyone else at risk of serious harm.
