Housing Service

We provide housing to 49,000 council tenants.  Each year we help thousands of people find new homes - to rent from us or housing associations, and low cost homes to buy.

 

We work with landlords to improve conditions in the private rented sector and take action if landlords fail to meet standards. We work with housing associations and private developers to build new homes in the city.

 

We advise and assist people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness with their options.

 

Council housing is managed by Sheffield Homes.
