Our area

The South West Community Assembly covers the four wards of Crookes, Dore and Totley, Ecclesall and Fulwood. It covers the following communities and the rural fringe of the Peak District National Park:

  • Ringinglow
  • Millhouses

  • Fulwood
  • Nether Green
  • Ranmoor
  • Crookes

Meet the team

The Chair of the South West Community Assembly is Councillor Mike Reynolds and the Deputy Chair is Councillor Keith Hill.
 
Supporting Councillors Reynolds and Hill is a team of officers, who will also be available to help you and give you information about how Community Assemblies work.
 
  • Tammy Barrass, Community Assembly Manager, who will have overall responsibility for assembly activities.
  • Lindsay Smith and Stuart Bolton, Planning and Performance Officer, who will help to develop a community plan and make sure that services are adapted to meet local needs.
  • Matthew Rush, Assembly Officer who will ensure good communication and involvement with local residents and groups.
  • Caroline Jennings, Safer Neighbourhoods Officer who will work closely with the Police.
  • Azra Razaq, Team Support Officer, who will provide administrative support to the team.

Our plans

February 2010

We are holding a Public Roadshow on Saturday 20 February between 10am and 12:30pm at St. William of Yorks on Ecclesall Road South, we are inviting anyone to come along and find out more about local voluntary groups and the work of the South West Community Assembly and its partners.  We will be providing free refreshments and it will be a great opertunity to meet local councillors and have your say about council services in your community. You will also be able to talk to representatives from 50+, Sheffield Carers, South Yorkshire Police, Lifelong Learning, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue and Voluntary Action Sheffield.

Community Assembly meetings

The Next Public Meeting of the South West Community Assembly will be on Wednesday 24 February 7:30pm at Hallam Community Hall
 

Future meetings

The assembly will host five public business meetings a year, below is a list of planned meetings beyond December. 
 
  • Wednesday 28 April 7:30pm, venue to be agreed

This is your Community Assembly, so we welcome the opportunity to meet and talk to you about how you can help shape services in your neighbourhood.
