Our area
The South East Community Assembly covers the four wards of Woodhouse, Birley, Beighton and Mosborough. It's made up of the neighbourhoods of:
- Handsworth
- Woodhouse
- Birley
- Basegreen
- Charnock
- Hackenthorpe
- Beighton
- Sothall
- Owlthorpe
- Waterthorpe
- Westfield
- Halfway
- Mosborough
The Assembly covers a population of approximately 70,000 people and is a mix of long established communities and a number of modern estates with areas bordering Rotherham and North East Derbyshire.
Meet the team
The Chair of South East Community Assembly is Councillor Chris Rosling-Josephs and the Deputy Chair is Councillor David Barker.
Supporting Councillors Rosling-Josephs and Barker is a team of officers, who are available to help you and give you information about how Community Assemblies work.
- Dave Luck, Community Assembly Manager, has overall responsibility for assembly activities.
- Lynne Richardson, Planning and Performance Officer, is in charge of developing a community plan and working to make sure that services meet local needs.
- Mick Fellowes, Community Assembly Officer, is responsible for involving local people in the work of the Assembly.
- Sara Green, Safer Neighbourhood Officer, works closely with the Police to deal with issues of crime and anti-social behaviour.
- Alicia Staton, Team Support Officer, provides administrative support to the team.
