What have we done so far?

In May 2009 Community Assemblies arrived! A lot of work was done behind the scenes to prepare for the creation of Community Assemblies in our area.

In June we held our first Community Assembly meeting in Stocksbridge.

In July we hosted 'Working with Your Community Assembly' Events where we got the chance to meet many local community groups and discuss how we can work together in the future.

We've also been out and about in the area meeting with the parish councils,  the Peak District National Park Authority and others.

Over the summer we have been busy holding 'You Say' sessions at many local festivals to find out more about your views and what you want for your community.

Community Plan

The Community Plan for the Northern area was approved at the second Community Assembly meeting in October. The Community Plan outlines the work that the Northern Community Assembly will be doing in the area. The Community Plan has two parts, a summary plan which gives a brief outline of the work we will be doing and a delivery plan which gives more detailed information. Please follow the link to see a copy of the Summary Plan and the Delivery Plan.
