Schools and Community Groups - The Council's waste contractor Veolia Environmental Services have a dedicated Waste Awareness Officer who visits schools and community groups across the city delivering a variety of programmes, to people of all ages and abilities, from one off presentations and workshops to a series of interactive sessions. The emphasis for the waste awareness sessions and workshops is ‘hands on’ and ‘fun’ but the outcome of the sessions is to change perceptions of waste and promote action to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.  If you would like to arrange for Veolia’s Waste Awareness Officer to visit to your school, college or community group please contact them on 0114 228 3630.
