Household waste services in Sheffield are provided by Veolia Environmental Services under an integrated waste management contract with Sheffield City Council.
The waste services provided include:
- Your black bin service for non-recyclable waste
- Blue bin service for paper and card
- Garden waste collection services
- Over 200 local bring sites across Sheffield
- 5 Household Waste Recycling Centres, for the disposal of bulky waste
- A bulky items collection service
- A customer contact centre
- An Energy Recovery Facility which turns waste into heat and electricity
The Council’s Waste Management Service oversees the Integrated Waste Management Contract with Veolia. We work with Veolia to develop the services provided, aiming to meet and exceed the targets set for the City, whilst maintaining the high standards expected by Sheffield residents.
