Blue Bins

A blue bin for the collection of paper & card
Your blue bin is provided to allow you to separate your paper and cardboard for recycling.  The contents of the blue bin are taken to a Materials Recovery Facility where they are sorted before being taken to manufacturers to make recycled paper and card.

Your blue paper & card wheeled bin is collected once every four weeks.

The bin should be presented at the kerbside for collection by 7:00am (unless you receive an assisted collection).

Updates of calendars will be issued as required to inform you of your collection days.  If you have lost your calendar then Veolia now have a facility whereby you can key in your postcode and check your collection days.  You will also be able to download a copy of your blue bin calendar.  Veolia operate a recycling help-line for any blue bin queries or collection problems - this is 0845 355 5515.

What we would like you to put in your blue bin?

Yes: Envelopes,  cardboard, newspaper & magazines, junk mail, cards.

No: Packaging contaminated with food waste (e.g. pizza boxes, fruit juice or milk cartons), plastic, glass, metal, textiles, garden waste or any other general household waste
