Priority Areas
All Local Authorities and the Health and Safety Executive are required to work in partnership to target specific work activities/businesses as part of the national Fit 3 campaign (Fit for Work, Fit for Life, Fit for Tomorrow)
One of the themes of the campaign is to focus on priority topic areas which contribute significantly to the existing national workplace accident and occupational health statistics.
These priority areas are:
- Slips and Trips
- Falls from height
- Workplace Transport Safety
- Musculo-skeletal disorders
- Stress at Work
- Contact Dermatitis
- Occupational Asthma
- Asbestos
- Noise and Vibration
The current work programme of the Health Protection Service includes planned work to make an effective contribution to the Fit 3 campaign.
Further details of the Fit 3 campaign can be found on the HSE web-site.
