- Dogs (noise nuisance, fouling on public highways and strays)
- Inspection of farms where animals are kept to ensure their welfare
- Licensing of animal related establishments e.g. pet shops, boarding kennels and catteries etc.

- Dealing with public health issues such as blocked or broken drains and sewers, filthy and verminous premises and noxious/harmful accumulations
- Dealing with high hedges
- Dealing with noise and dust problems from construction sites
- Identifying contaminated land and ensuring it is made safe
