Remote Access
Remote Access allows the Management Information Systems (MIS) Team to access your computer for advice and problem solving.
Please make a note of the settings required to use Remote Access. This will assist the team to be able to connect in a shorter space of time, and try to resolve your problem quicker.
To enable the MIS Team to access your computer you need to use LanDesk Instant Support Suite Software (Program File, 776Kb).
Click on "Run" or "Open" - depending on your computer's operating system you may need to click on more than one occasion.
Once this program is running, you will be required to enter the following User Information.
"Global Support Broker" is sims.sheffield.gov.uk This must be entered in lower case, exactly as shown. The other two boxes require your name and school email address. Once this is done, click on OK.
Only at this point will the MIS Team representative be able to connect to your machine. Step by step instructions are available in the downloadable document below.
