Workforce Development Team
About us
The Workforce Development Team for Early Years, Sheffield City Council, aim to ensure that all workers in the Early Years and Childcare sector have access to a wide range of training and qualifications opportunities. Our goal is to provide opportunities that support continuing professional development for experienced workers as well as providing essential training for new workers, in line with the Children’s Workforce Development Strategy.
Each year we provide links and funding to training programmes and providers that supports local and national priorities of the One Children’s Workforce Framework and Tool. The Workforce Development currently support 115 eligible Full Day Care Settings across Sheffield, with members of staff working towards Early Years Foundation stage Degrees, Level 3 and Level 2 qualifications. What We Support
Early Years offer support to 115 approved settings across Sheffield and we currently act as a referral service for the following
- Early Years Foundation Stage Degree
- Level 4 Qualification
- Level 3 Qualification
- Level 2 Qualification
