Rebuilds and Refurbishments
A number of building and refurbishment programmes for learning establishments are taking place across Sheffield.
The main programmes currently being delivered are:
- Building Schools for the Future (BSF)
Rebuilding or refurbishing Secondary Schools
- Children’s Centres Programme
Providing buildings to support families with children under five
- Primary Capital Programme (PCP)
Modernisation of Primary School buildings
- Primary Prioritisation Programme (PPP)
Improvement of Primary School buildings
- Private Finance Initiative (PFI)
Schools operated and managed by Private Sector Partners
These programmes are managed and delivered for the Children & Young People's Directorate (CYPD) through Capacity Planning & Development Service (CPD).
CPD also offers a full range of support to schools managing their own school projects.
Permission to Work (PTW) is mandatory on all CYPD building alterations. If you are considering any kind of work to your school building, you must obtain the necessary PTW approval. Details about this procedure can be found on the Technology Forge/Assets Website and the PTW form can be downloaded on the home page.
