Education in Sheffield awarded Beacon Status

 

Sheffield City Council's Education Human Resources and School Effectiveness Service have won Beacon Council status for their work in "Transforming the School Workforce". Beacon status is awarded by the Government for services that are seen to be the best in their field.

 

218 local authorities applied for Beacon Council status in various categories and Sheffield took this opportunity to demonstrate their success in managing cultural change, performance management, recruitment and retention, continuous professional development, and internal communications.
