SEN Transport Policy
The Authority is committed to ensuring high standards in Sheffield so that each child's journey is as safe, comfortable and stress free as possible.
The Revised Code of Practice on Special Educational Needs (2001) states that transport should only be recorded in Part 6 of the statement in 'exceptional circumstances where the child has particular transport needs.' (Code of Practice: 8.89).
The format and content of this policy complies with the DfES Good Practice Guidance on SEN Transport (2001).
