School Meal Prices

From the 1st August 2008 to 31st July 2009, the prices of school meals at Sheffield schools will be:
Nursery school pupils: £1.55
Pupils in all primary age schools: £1.80
Secondary special schools: £1.85
Secondary Schools (Notional Free Allowance): £1.85
As you will be aware, the food market is experiencing unprecedented cost pressures as a result of fundamental changes in the economic climate. Major worldwide factors such as the rising cost of oil, harvest shortfalls and volatile currency markets are all contributing factors. As a consequence, School Meals charges will be increasing from September 2008 as set out above.
