Outdoor Centres

Sheffield Children's Service Authority has three outdoor centres for use by schools and other interested parties.

  • Whirlow Hall Farm - Find out about the farm's facilities and activities and how to arrage an educational visit.

  • SERY Watersport Base (Underbank Outdoor Activity Centre) - This is a centre also used by Sheffield schoolchildren, but is not owned by the Children’s Services Authority.  The Adventure Activities Licensing Authority is an independent, cross-departmental public authority, funded by the Department of Education and Skills, and operating under the written guidance of the Health and Safety Commission. In effect it is an independent watchdog on the delivery of outdoor adventure activities for young people.
