Educational Visits
Guidance is issued by the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) on the
Health and Safety of Pupils on Educational Visits. The guide does not seek to replace local or other professional guidance or regulations.
The Guide includes chapters on: Responsibilities for Visits; Planning Visits; Supervision; Preparing Pupils; Communicating with parents; Planning Transport; Insurance; Types of Visit; Visits abroad and Emergency procedures.
Parents should contact their child's school if they have any concerns about their child's safety on an educational visit.
