School Terms and Holidays

Use these pages to find the school terms and holidays for schools in the Sheffield area for the academic year 2007- 2008 and 2008 - 2009. Term dates are set by the Children's Services Authority approximately 18 months prior to the start of the following academic year in September. The holidays are set now until July 2009.
 
 
Consultation
 
The consultation period for 2009-2010 has started. Details of the proposed Term Dates and the Guiding Principles that Yorkshire will endevour to agree are provided below as a downloadable document.
The Authority has received a number of requests for information about how the consultation exercise on terms and holidays is carried out. You can download a briefing paper below which should answer those questions and others including how the Easter holidays are set.
 
Training Days
 
Please note that each school organises five training and development days which are determined by the school. For information on specific training days, please select the current academic year from the list on the left where a downloadable document can be found.
