European Union students
Under the Treaty of Rome, each European Union (EU) country is required to provide access to Higher Education students from other member states on the same basis as their own students.
This means that students studying in any of the EU states should be eligible for any assistance with a tuition fee loan which is available to home students in that country.
- If you are a national of a EU country you should get support with a Tuition Fee loan on a similar basis to UK students.
- If you are an EU student, and applying through Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS), you will be sent an application form for help with a tuition fee loan when you are offered a place on a course.
- Students who do not apply through UCAS will be able to get an application form from their college/university.
- As an EU student you will not be eligible for a maintenance loan, maintenance grant, supplementary grant, hardship loan or Access Funds
