ICT

The aim of our work is to:

  • Provide first-step ICT learning opportunities for adults who have little or no previous ICT experience
  • Create and respond to demand for the provision of neighbourhood based ICT courses
  • Provide resources/support to ensure provision happens at a time and a place to suit the learners
  • Work in partnership with other providers across the city to ensure progression for learners

A large proportion of our work is direct delivery of introductory ICT classes in various community settings across the city.

What we can offer

  • 10-20 hour introductory courses for beginners at Entry Level
  • Longer more structured courses of 20-30 hours at Level 1
  • Nationally recognised qualifications through the National Open College Network
  • Progression to longer Level 2 qualifications such as ECDL either in community venues or at learning centres
  • Resources (including laptop computers) to enable learning to happen
  • Experienced tutors who can offer support and advice on next steps in ICT learning
