ICT
The aim of our work is to:
- Provide first-step ICT learning opportunities for adults who have little or no previous ICT experience
- Create and respond to demand for the provision of neighbourhood based ICT courses
- Provide resources/support to ensure provision happens at a time and a place to suit the learners
- Work in partnership with other providers across the city to ensure progression for learners
A large proportion of our work is direct delivery of introductory ICT classes in various community settings across the city.
What we can offer
- 10-20 hour introductory courses for beginners at Entry Level
- Longer more structured courses of 20-30 hours at Level 1
- Nationally recognised qualifications through the National Open College Network
- Progression to longer Level 2 qualifications such as ECDL either in community venues or at learning centres
- Resources (including laptop computers) to enable learning to happen
- Experienced tutors who can offer support and advice on next steps in ICT learning
