Vocational Skills Programme
What does this do?
The Vocational Skills Programme allows 2,800 young people every year to follow a wide range of vocational and applied learning options inside and outside of school. This programme now makes a major contribution to the number of students gaining 5 A - C's and the numbers staying in education beyond the age of 16.
A number of progression pathways have been created that enable young people in the city to follow courses that link up to those areas of the local economy that are predicted to generate work and wealth in the next decade.
