BTEC National Certificate in Music Technology

Located in the heart of Sheffield's Cultural Industries Quarter, Red Tape Studios has over 21 years of experience in music training.

 

All our tutors are industry professionals.

 

Individuals need to be over the age of 16 and have one of the following: Intermediate GNVQ in a relevant subject, four GCSEs (A-C) or relevant work experience.

 

This is a Level 3 course, equivalent to 2 ‘A’ levels.  It is a practical, work related 12-unit course that includes: Studio Production, Computer Technology for Music, MIDI Sequencing and vital Music Business information.

 

The course also includes study in Production Analysis and Composition.  The individual will be required to complete an assignment for each of the units.

 

24 hours per week for 46 weeks
