Internal Audit

Internal Audit carries out statutory audits in schools on approximately a four to five year cycle.  As new issues are raised, Internal Audit reviews and updates the audit criteria to reflect current statutory, OfSTED or local requirements.   During the financial year 2007/08, a total of 39 audits were carried out across primary, secondary and special schools.

Download from the bottom of the page a comprehensive list of all audit points covered by Internal Audit and an aggregated total of all points raised with schools (via implementation plans issued to schools after audit review) during the financial year 2007/08.  This summary should assist users to immediately identify any areas of weakness.  You can also download the list of audit points from 2006/07 and 2005/06.
