Financial Management Standard in Schools
All maintained Secondary Schools were expected to meet the Financial Management Standard in Schools (FMSiS) by March 2007. Thereafter Primary schools were prioritised for assessment with a view to 40% meeting the standard by March 2008 and all schools meeting the standard by March 2010.

- A useful 'No Nonsense' Guide for Primary Schools was published in April 2007 by David Fulton books entitled Managing Finance, Premises and Health and Safety, by David Miller, John Plant and Paul Scaife.
