Committees and Delegated Powers
Governing Bodies are required to review the Terms of Reference of their Committees on an annual basis. Most do this in the Autumn term.
Sheffield Guidance and Model Terms of Reference for Governing Body Committees are reviewed annually and were last updated in August 2008. The Model Terms of Reference can be downloaded at the bottom of the page, along with Guidance on the Role of Curriculum Link Governors.
These Terms of Reference are not a definitive list and Governing Bodies may choose to include other responsibilities. Most Governing Bodies will 'mix and match' from the Model Terms of Reference to suit their own Committee structure. Example Terms of Reference for a Children's Centre Committee are now included.
