Representing Governing Bodies
Sheffield Association of School Governing bodies (SASGB) is recognised by Sheffield City Council as the group which is best placed to represent the views of Governing Bodies in the city.
Members of the SASGB Executive Committee meet approximately half termly with the Executive Director of Children and Young People's Services at the Governing Bodies Consultation Group. This group discusses issues raised by Governing Bodies and the Executive Director keeps SASGB informed of local strategy developments and initiatives.
SASGB also nominates representatives for other groups. These representatives provide feedback to the Executive Committee which, in turn, informs Governors across Sheffield through the termly newsletter and by other means.
