Home School Agreement
The requirement to have a Home School Agreement and Parental Declaration was introduced in the School Standards and Framework Act 1998. Guidance was sent to schools by the DfEE in December 1998 and included examples of Home School Agreements adopted by schools across the country and how schools consulted with parents.
Local guidance was provided for Sheffield schools in the Summer term 1999 and can be downloaded below.
Governing Bodies should have prodecures in place to monitor and review the Home School Agreement on perhaps a two or three year cycle.
