e-communication

Responses to consultation with Governing Bodies in 2005 showed a wide range in the use of e-communication by Governors to access information and communicate between one another.

A key issue running through the responses was that Governors without e-mail or access to the internet (or choosing not to use these options), should not be disenfranchised.

We have had discussions with a few Governing Bodies and drawn up a model policy which you can download below.

This does not include the development of e-communication with students and parents/carers.  This is an area which Governing Bodies will develop as part of their ICT strategy.
