Payments By Post

To make a payment by post please make your cheque payable to Sheffield City Council and send it to the Council Tax Department at the following address:

S1 1UY

 

Please include your payment voucher or write your Council Tax account reference number on the back of the cheque.

 

All cheques should be crossed.

 

Please do not send cash through the post. 

 

If you require a receipt for your payment please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope.

 

 

If you if you send a cheque through the post, it will take around 4 working days before the Council receives your payment. The Council will not know that you have paid until it receives your money and may start recovery action if you have paid later than the due date shown on your bill.

 

If you have forgotten to pay and your due date has passed, please pay immediately by debit card over the phone or by cash or cheque in person.
