We are open 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. If you are arriving by car, find out where the car parks - see city centre.
By Telephone
You can telephone the Council Tax office on (0114) 2736633 any time between 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
If you have a question about your Housing or Council Tax Benefit, you can telephone the Benefits helpline on (0114) 2736777. Lines are open from 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
Very often the telephone lines are extremely busy. If you find that you have difficulties in telephoning the Council Tax office, you may wish to try again after 4pm when they are less busy. If you are still having difficulty getting through and if you want us to phone you, please complete our 'please call me back form'.
