This section lists any news and updates to the project management guide or template documents:

 

Following a procurement exercise in July 2008, Novare Consulting Ltd. were chosen as the preferred supplier to help us develop training materials and support based on the Sheffield Programme and Project Management Methodology (SPPM).

 

Delivery of the training will be through a mixture of in house provision and Novare. This is designed to build in house capacity, ultimately moving to Sheffield City Council becoming self sufficient in delivery of training and support for SPPM.

 

We have sent a email to all Project / Programme Managers and Sponsors who are named on the Corporate Portfolio.  The email has a link to a questionnaire on Sheffield's Consultation Management System.

 

There are two reasons for this questionnaire

 

 

We have asked people to complete the questionnaire as soon as possible, but at the latest by Friday 16th January.

 

We will be updating you at the end of January with our progress.

 

 

We have recently been through a tender process to find a company to work with us to write and deliver Project and Programme Management training and support.

 

The successful company is Novare Consulting Ltd.  Work has already begun on developing materials for a whole range of courses and support events.  A pilot for a Business Case writing will take place on 17th and 18th December.  The training courses will begin to be delivered towards the end of January.

 

Initially we will be concentrating on training all those Project and Programme Managers and Sponsors who appear on our Corporate Portfolio.

 

As soon as other courses are developed we will let you know.
