Varying a Premises Licence
The holder of a premises licence may apply to the Licensing Authority to vary the licence.
Please note: this page does not apply if you wish to specify a new designated premises supervisor. This must be done using a separate form - see Applying to vary the Designated Premises Supervisor.
How do I apply to vary my premises licence?
You can either contact us for an application pack or download an application form and guidance notes at the bottom of the page.
Please note that we can not accept electronic application forms. Please print and complete a copy of the form. We are also unable to take payment via the internet. You can pay by cash, cheque or postal orders.
How long will it take?
Once you have submitted your application to the Licensing General section and the responsible authorities, the minimum time it will take for the variation to your licence to be granted is 28 days.
However, this time period may be extended if any objections to our application are received. Please apply well in advance of requiring the variation to your licence.
Is there any part of my licence that I can’t vary?
You cannot vary a licence to extend the time period that the licence is valid for.
