Corporate Property Division

Charter Mark: Customer Service Excellence
Corporate Property Division is a holder of the Charter Mark Standard, a Government's national standard for excellence in customer service.  It is a registered certification mark, which is owned by the Cabinet Office. 
 
Corporate Property Division comprises a team of property professionals who provide both Strategic Asset Management and Professional Estate Management Services on behalf of the Council.
 
Strategic Asset Management Service
 
Develops innovative ways to improve the management of the Council’s portfolio of land and properties.  This is achieved by jointly working with different parts of the Council and the Community to develop value for money property solutions, which help to enhance the delivery of Council services.  This service also focuses on continually improving internal property related systems and processes within the Council itself.    
 
Professional Estate Management Service
 
Provides a wide range of estate management services for the Council’s shops, offices, housing, industrial and agricultural land and buildings.  These include advising on:
 
  • Acquisitions & Disposals
  • Development & Regeneration
  • Maintenance & Repair issues
  • Rating Services
  • Land Assembly & Compulsory Purchase Services
  • Landlord & Tenant (to include negotiating Lease Renewals, Rent Reviews, Service Charge Disputes)
  • Valuations
  • Community Lettings
  • Commercial Property Management
  • Management of the Rural Estate
 
We are also responsible for managing the disposal of the Council’s surplus land and property assets, which is done by auction and through advertisement on the open market.  Please visit property available for current land and properties available for disposal.
