Doing Business with Sheffield City Council
We want to encourage a range of organisations to bid for contracts with us. The following information has been provided to help organisations and interested parties understand how we buy goods and services, and explain how to bid for contracts that we advertise.

You may also want to purchase the Sheffield Community Enterprise Development Unit's (SCEDU) Tender Readiness Toolkit. Although this information cannot guarantee success when bidding for contracts, it may help organisations in preparing a tender and being considered for working with us.

Supplier Contract Management System
The Supplier Contract Management System (SCMS) is an electronic web-based system, designed to manage all Local Authority procurement activity in the Yorkshire and Humber region. The system has Supplier management, Tender management and Contract Management areas, and has been designed with the aim of making it easier to trade with Local Authorities in the region.
We are currently considering how we can best implement the use of SCMS and e-procurement across the Council, in partnership with the Regional Centre of Excellence (RcoE). If you have any queries regarding SCMS please email us at cccpurchasing@sheffield.gov.uk.
