Description of Works: | The project requires the submission of proposals for two options:- Option A The Works comprise the design, manufacture and installation of straight or curved stairlifts to a variety of properties including taking all necessary measurements, conducting surveys, design of installation in accordance with a detailed performance specification, manufacture of unique components and installation of same, together with any necessary builders work, making good of existing structures and finishings and full protection of existing decorations, furnishings and fittings. Option B The Works comprise all work as option A above, together with other work and services to form a Total Contract Solution. Such work includes: investigatory works to assess Occupier’s; requirements and needs; a pro-active approach throughout the term of the Contract to reduce the need for officer supervision and checking; formulation of a fully detailed 10 year maintenance agreement and operation of same; recycling of existing stairlifts and fixing previously stored units; possible transfer of stairlifts from/to other Local Authorities; provision for guaranteed buy-back of redundant stairlifts; and maintenance of existing stairlifts. Both options will run concurrently for a trial period after which the Employer will decide, after evaluation, on the preferred procurement route for the remainder of the Contract. |
